A Ballpark Birthday

After the train ride, we headed to the ballpark to catch BP and play in the new INDOOR play area. The boys loved BP for about 5 minutes but then it was too hot for them and they lost interest. We made them stay until the Rangers were almost done with BP...good thing we did because lots of our guys kept tossing the boys baseballs. They loved it and we loved carrying all 8 home in our bag :)
No Hudson is not a thug...he was just trying to make his bedazzled hat that Bebe let him borrow look cool.

I think Bebe had the best time at BP. She kept trying to do Sic'Em Bears to Murphy. I kept telling her to stop it or we would leave.
Following BP, we went to the new kid zone. It is indoors and COLD. It was so nice! Lots of cool things for the kids to do while the parents awesome aunt and super cool grandparents can sit and watch. We stayed in here an hour! The boys didn't even want to watch the game but I promised them cotton candy if they would leave. We left.

As you can see, they loved the slide!

Caden conquered the rock wall. He did it so many times, he made friends with the girl working it.

Hudson's first pitch went right in! See the blue bean bag in the hole? He is such our little stud muffin.
If you haven't been to this, you must check it out!
Bebe and PawPaw took a break so Aunt Jenny took over!
PawPaw finally upgraded to a Beltre tee from his only Ranger tee he had - a Feliz player tee. Smart man!
Loving on my little men. Caden hardly ever smiles correctly in a photo - gotta love it!
After the 2nd inning, Hudson told me "that he just didn't think the game would be this long" so about after an hour we headed down to see Uncle Kelly and let the boys get out some energy.
Don't worry, Caden did not harm Hudson in this photo.
We drove Uncle Kelly's cart over and over and over again!
Hudson fell asleep on they way home but got a second wind as soon as we went inside. We ended up playing some crazy version of pool for an hour!
The next day, we had a big family lunch - Carey, Ashton, Blake, Amy, Emery Kate and & Molly - joined us for a little chicken at Babe's and then most of us came back to my house for cookie cake time. Hudson was very specific on what kind of cake he wanted: a Cookie dough pie, with white icing and M&Ms. Only I would make this for him.
Our little 6 year old!
As you can see, the boys still have on their tattoos...no, I didn't make them bathe (fun aunt!) but we did put on new clothes.
I plan on washing the sheets tonight!
Bebe loving on her boys.
I am so happy that we got to have a celebration up here. It was so fun having a house full of people!

All aboard!

All aboard! My parents - Bebe and PawPaw - promised Hudson (the cute short little man) that for his birthday, they would take him on a train trip to see me. Hudson was beyong excited. He has asked all year long when the train trip was coming. Well Hudson turned 6 at the end of June so my parents booked the trip. Amtrak runs through McGregor (right outside Waco) and makes a stop in downtown Fort Worth. My parents have been scouting this out for sometime and I think were just as excited as Hudson. They even bought tickets on the 2nd deck of the train for a better view. Hud also got to bring his brother, Caden. Bebe and PawPaw got to the station extra early so the boys could explore everything! Then the train was delayed for an hour so they got to spend even more time at the station.....good thing Bebe packed lots of fun stuff to do and snacks to munch on. In fact, by the time the train got here, all the snacks were eaten! Don't worry, the train had a snack station and the boys got the biggest snickers they could find. They were on a total sugar high by the time I picked them up.
Caden was worried about missing batting practice since the train was late but the conductor said the train would go extra fast - 70 MPH! Who knew trains went that fast. Every train I get stopped by, it is creeping along. The trip was so fast that they even beat me to the station so no pics of them getting off. I told Bebe and PawPaw that the whole family needs to do this as it looked so fun!

Bebe made special train tickets for the boys.
Patiently waiting for the train to come.
I was picking them up from the train station to go right to the ballpark which explains all the Rangers shirts.
Hurry up train!
Every time the whistle blew, they had to suck on their lolly pop. This was a very fun entertaining game for the boys until their lolly pops were all gone!
Doesn't this look cool? The train was sold out - turns out this is a really popular thing to do! Bebe and PawPaw definately win grandparents of the year!

Bombs bursting in air...

Kelly had his first July 4th off in a while so we packed it up and headed to the lake. We anticipated a big crowd at the lake so we got out there early. The large crowd did show up but later in the afternoon which meant we basically had the whole lake to ourselves. It was so nice!

Cheers to good times at the lake!
What a cute couple with their matching hats!
We bought a new anchor and didn't quite know how to use it so we kept drifting. Instead of packing up all the floats and inflatable cooler, we just towed it behind us. The guys did a great job and didn't spill any beverages or ice.
All the boats gathering up to watch the show.
We had a great view of the show plus all the other surrounding city's shows. There were firework shows lighting up the lake all around! Loved spending the 4th at Lake Grapevine.
