U-Hauling it to the River

Nothing beats the heat like the Guadalupe in the middle of August especially after so many consecutive days of 100+ weather. So we packed up the U-Haul, split up in two groups (boys and girls of course) and headed down the river. We needed a little toobin' time!
We hadn't been in the water for 15 minutes, when Lizzy asked me what was that thing gliding across the water. Of course, being the quiet person I am said "OH MY GOSH, THERE IS A SNAKE!" Andy totally freaked out...see he has this rather large fear of snakes and was not happy to have discovered that the 'Lupe has snakes. We promised him this was the first time for us to ever have seen a snake but he pretty much looked like this (See pic below) the whole time. Not even Coors could make him relax.
Ashley and I decided to have an impromtu bachelorette party for Lacy. We got her a lovely White Trash Bachelorette cap complete with small pink "things" and a veil. LJ was a good sport and wore it the whole time!
The Jankowski's having a good time...well at least Carla is - Andy is on snake patrol!
Kelly did a little fishing. Poor guy caught nothing but a river toob trash can.
Lizzy and Tyler, also river trip newbies, spend some QT with Ashley on the banks of the river.
Hello Ladies! We loved hanging out and just chatting about girl stuff. Counselor Lacy had her work cut out for her this trip!
The annual river trip would not be complete without a visit to the Gristmill. We were all excited to take Andy and Carla there as they didn't even know what Gruene/Gristmill was! They kept calling Gruene - Grew-in. By the end of lunch, they knew how to say Gruene and were excited to come back.
My buddy and me. We like to match all the time. Ha! These are the awesome tshirts that Kelly had designed for the trip. Can you believe that we are finally stepping it up from the press-on designs from the past. So proud!
Joel and Ashley. Joel LOVES to have his picture taken.
The soon to be Theobald's. Cant wait for this wedding. What a pair! We love hanging out with them...especially at the river.
After many rounds of LRC and beer pong, our river trip finally came to an end. We were sad to see it end but are already planning next year's extravaganza!
